{ fairy houses }

Hello! I illustrated a children’s book recently that accompanies a fairy house for Dreamland Fairy. Illustrating this book was quite an accomplishment for me, since I was freelancing, working part time at a very demanding AD agency, and most importantly caring for my 9 months old twins. It was all the more rewarding to get such nice reviews. So go to the website.

{ 2014 Calendar – one more left in etsy }

Hello world. Thank you for all that purchased the calendars! IT does mean alot to me that we are raising some money that will be sent to American Red Cross for the people of Philippines who have been affected by the Typhoon Yolanda. There is ONE MORE calendar left in Etsy. Not only is it going to a good cause, but you are getting some decent art for your wall. 🙂

{ 2014 calendar honoring the victims of Typhoon Yolanda }

Albeit small, I created and selling a 6×6 calendar of 12 illustrations of my work. ALL proceeds will go to REDCROSS for the Typhoon Yolanda innocent victims in the Philippines. I’m asking for $11.00 each, it comes along with a 4×6 card (see image) plus $2.00 shipping. Of course, if you want to donate more, that is more than welcome, it is going to a much needed cause. The Philippines is my birth country, so this is very close to my heart. My mind is on the parents that are now childless and the children that are now parentless and for the wounded who are slowly losing their life because they have no aid while other who have more pressing injuries to be taken cared of first. As many of you know, many provinces in the Philippines have been struck by Typhoon Yolanda, many are homeless, many who lost their loved ones. Send me a private message here if you are interested and I promise you that your donation will go directly to REDCROSS and plus you’ll get some decent art along with it. Or you can donate on your own. If I ask for anything, this is it. Please Donate to a non-government organization that can aid these victims directly. Nothing is too small, these people will continue to need help. It will, in my heart, hope to help the wounded, the homeless, the hungry and thirsty, and help the lost find their way back to their family and home and more importantly the lost children will remain with their relatives. Thank you.

Please go to my etsy shop to purchase. I will keep everyone updated of how much we have put together to help the filipino people.

{ and the journey continues }

It has been an adventurous year of illustrating a new body of work. So the time has finally come to mail promo cards out to publishing houses and see if I get any feed back. Here’s a pile to start off, tough to research more companies that could potentially be interested in my style. We’ll see what happens. Here’s to new beginnings!

{ new illustration }

So this is about this poor scarecrow that is falling apart in every possible way. His arm is torn, he’s cold, lonely, and his spirit is nearly broken. He’s in such bad shape, yet, he welcomes any visitor with a smile and hospitality. It’s not his nature to be rude or have a horrible disposition. He hangs out in the rough elements, alone, and he still finds some strength to survive, knowing tomorrow will be the same. But who knows, perhaps this day will bring along a visitor, a friend.

You can also find this piece in etsy to order.

A Walk in the Dark

A lot of people say my work is kind of sweet, but kind of dark. I guess you can categorized my work in the “halloween” section. When I initially started illustrating again my work transitioned itself from romantic realism to morbidly sad, dark, and yet sweet with a twist of humor and surreal style…. I will take that. It’s more fun and interesting for me to have an open window of endless dream-like/tim burton-esk subject matter. It’s only fitting to showcase this illustration again for the Spooky Holiday, since it had a lot of responses to how “dark” it is.
Happy Halloween!
